Job description

Quanta Credit Services is a startup focused on providing digital-first collections solutions for lenders, banks, and fintechs. We work with our clients to build email and text collections campaigns that create better experiences for collections customers and better business outcomes for lenders.

One of our offerings focuses on strategically enhancing clients' existing digital communications. We have a strong team in place and are looking to expand our strategic capabilities by bringing on someone who can help develop new client strategies, evaluate their performance, and lead teams to deliver results. Over the last 12 months, Quanta has accelerated its growth, and the future looks bright.

The Role:

We are looking for a strategic, analytical partner for our clients.

We design, build, and execute strategies and provide counsel to help our clients optimize their Collections and Recoveries businesses. For your assigned client accounts, you will own client communication and strategy execution, working within the overall strategic direction set by the Head of Strategy and Analytics. You will also interact with senior leaders at our clients and provide insights to help them shape their businesses.

This isn't a single-lane specialist seat. You'll write SQL one day, present insights to a client's senior leadership the next, and work with the creative team on a test after that. We're not looking for the deepest expert in any one of these areas; we need someone comfortable doing all of them.

What You’ll Do:

Develop custom client contact strategy recommendations across a variety of primarily digital channels based on insights from client data, external data, and best practices

Lead client historical analysis to identify performance-driven customer segments

Partner with our marketing team to ensure development of creatives in alignment with the client strategy

Analyze client strategy and campaign performance to identify insights and trends, developing hypotheses about how to improve performance

Develop and prioritize an analytical testing agenda within and across clients (for example, multivariate creative, subject line, and segmentation tests), identifying where and how analytical learnings could be leveraged across projects

Evaluate the economic benefit to both our clients and our company from the strategies we create and deploy

Lead teams of analysts and other resources to realize strategies and analyze results

Champion new products and methods to continually refine our offerings, including but not limited to machine learning, AI-driven strategies, and new ways to approach digital engagement with consumers

What We’re Looking For:

8+ years of credit risk strategy experience in consumer credit-related roles

Experience in building credit risk-related strategies for consumer credit products

Expert analytical skills to drive business results through data-driven business proposals

Proficiency with standard office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), including but not limited to the Google suite of collaboration tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)

Proficiency using SQL (or similar database language with desire to learn SQL) to access, review, and manipulate data for analysis

Experience with credit risk models, model development, management, and programming languages and concepts (e.g., Python, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, etc.)

Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, or other similar products

A history of success in leading initiatives and driving results

Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to deliver business proposals and present results to senior management

Ability to collaborate well with business partners and influence business decisions

Ability to lead other team members by influence

Beyond that background, you’ll also need to be someone who:

Ownership mindset: you treat this company like your own, running it with a high degree of initiative and passion to improve performance on behalf of our customers, and you're intellectually curious with a thirst for learning and true understanding

Leadership traits: you're humble and yet driven - able to admit mistakes and acknowledge when you need help so the team can move faster

Team building skills: this is an individual contributor role to start, but your success is tied to being a collaborative leader - someone who establishes trust by putting other people first, influences positively, communicates clearly, and has a high "say-do"

Hands-on: we're looking for "player-coaches", so you should want to get your hands dirty. If you can't write your own SQL code, build business cases in Excel, or create strong PowerPoint presentations, this is not the right role for you

Business acumen: you think strategically, frame for success, execute tactically, know how to prioritize what's most important, and deliver results over the short, medium, and long term

Attention to detail: you have an eye for detail to figure out issues beyond high-level trends

Curiosity: a "hunger to learn" beyond your role and function, and the ability to help others around you grow by influence

Versatility: this job spans analytics, credit risk strategy, and client communication - you won't get to specialize in just one. If switching between a SQL query and a client presentation in the same day sounds draining rather than energizing, this isn't the right fit

Nice to Have:

Strong business acumen in Collections & Recoveries

Direct experience building credit risk strategies specifically within Collections & Recoveries
