Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Consultant to join our Business Intelligence Group. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of custom financial and operational reports using Sage Intacct and Sage 300 CRE. Your work will ensure accurate, timely, and insightful information delivery that supports internal stakeholders and clients in making data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically proficient, and comfortable working in collaborative, client-facing environments.

Compensation | $65,000-$85,000 base salary

Key Responsibilities

Report Creation and Management:

Design, develop, and maintain custom financial and operational reports and dashboards in Sage Intacct, using:

Financial Report Writer

Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW)

Custom Report Wizard

Dashboards and Performance Cards

Build and manage reports in Sage 300 CRE using Crystal Reports and Office Connector.

Ensure reports accommodate multi-entity, multi-currency, and department-specific needs.

Align reporting outputs with month-end and quarter-end close cycles, as well as ad hoc reporting requests.

Maintain high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and usability.

Data Replication and SQL Integration:

Replicate key data into SQL tables when built-in tools are insufficient for advanced reporting.

Support advanced report generation using SQL and Crystal Reports.

Troubleshoot data access and quality issues across systems and reports.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support:

Work directly with Accounting, Finance, and Business Operations teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver customized solutions.

Provide guidance, documentation, and support to users for interpreting and modifying reports.

Ensure clear documentation of report logic, data sources, and version history.

Share reporting best practices and offer training to internal team members as needed.

QualificationsRequired:

2+ years of experience with Sage Intacct, particularly in report development.

Proficient with:

Financial Report Writer

ICRW and Custom Report Wizard

Dashboards and Dimensions

Crystal Reports and Office Connector (Sage 300 CRE)

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals.

Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments.

Ability to analyze and reconcile data across key accounting modules: AP, AR, GL, Projects, Time & Expenses.

Working knowledge of SQL and stored procedures for reporting and data integration.

High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communicator, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

Experience supporting clients or internal teams in the construction industry.

Familiarity with Intacct platform services (Smart Rules, Smart Events, custom objects).

Experience with external reporting tools (e.g., OMNI, Power BI).

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
