We are dedicated to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and dignity.Our culture is cultivated using the following values:Integrity: We are honest and professional.Trust: We count on each other.Excellence: We strive to always do our best and look for ways to improve and excel.Accountability: We accept responsibility for our actions, attitudes, and mistakes.Mutual Respect: We treat others the way we want to be treated.QualificationsOn an average day you will:Provide office functions including handling correspondence and word processing for hospice organization, managing incoming calls, filing clinical notes, maintaining administrative and clerical files; and ensuring postage is purchased and kept on handAssist BOM in maintaining minutes of meetingsAssist BOM in ensuring all Doctor's order forms and related forms are completed and signed in compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, place forms and applicable documents into patient filesAssist BOM in sending Doctor's orders to Physicians when received from nurses for his/her signature; keep current log of what is sent to make sure it is returned with signatureAssist BOM in keeping all manuals up to date, as assignedAssist BOM in closing out patient's clinical record when dischargedEnter DARs and log/track their submission, if needed when online systems are down or emergency situationsAssist BOM in accurately entering patient billing dataAssist BOM in accurately processing and billing Medicare, Medicaid, private payer and patient claims in accordance with payor requirements and organization policyAssist in the preparation of monthly billing and accounts receivable reports, alert appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents for billingEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, payers, and other customersMaintain confidentiality of patient and organization informationMaintain adequate inventory of medical supplies/items needed to provide appropriate patient care; notify the supervisor when inventory needs to be restockedOther duties as assignedRequirements:Must have at least one (1) year of experience in health care data entryPreferred one (1) year of previous health care related billing experienceKnowledge and skills needed to be successful in role:Ability to type 50 words per minuteProficient word processing skillsExcellent computer skillsFamiliar with medical terminologyWe Got the Perks:Tuition ReimbursementPTO and Paid HolidaysMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and moreHSA & 401(k) availableMileage Reimbursement for applicable positionsAdvanced training programsPassionate company culture committed to the highest standard of care in the hospice industryJoin a team that embraces the reverence of life!Bristol Hospice is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-verify.
