Business Services Division SupervisorThe Business Services Division Supervisor oversees projects in the Business Services Division (BSD) within the Court Technology department. Work areas include the Court's primary business application iCIS and the large, medium and small application development projects area within BSD. We fulfill these principles through a culture that values fairness, respect, integrity, innovation, and safety.Position Qualifications:We recognize your time is valuable, so please apply if you meet the following required qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or related fieldThree (3) years of advanced business systems analysis, project management and industry experience in managing IT projects or IT business analysis involving project planning through completionORAn equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.Our Preferred Candidate has:Seven (7) or more years of advanced business systems analysis, project management and industry experienceThree to Five (3-5) years of supervisory or project lead experienceExperience with Agile development and web application development projectsKnowledge of general jurisdiction court processesExperience working with technology staffExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge, skills, and abilities:Knowledge of:Office 365 products and MS TeamsSDLC, agile developmentProject Management principles and guidelinesEffective management of professional staffLarge volume General Jurisdiction court processesSkill in:Managing projects and teamsCustomer service orientationBuilding strong interpersonal relationships across multidisciplinary departments, as well as external stakeholdersWritten and verbal communicationMonitoring and assessing the performance staff to make improvements or take corrective actionPersonnel resources management through motivating, developing, and directing people as they workAbility to:Supervise, mentor staff and delegate workWork with customers to define their needs and develop reasonable project scope, plans and schedulesWork in a team environment, as well as independentlyManage multiple projects, customers, and prioritiesEffectively plan, train, assign work, and supervise the work of othersMaintain good morale, motivation, and commitment from othersEssential Job Tasks:(This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.)Supervises professional personnel involved in the development of new and/or maintenance and operation of existing information technology systemsOversees multiple business and/or computer application projects through development and support phasesCompletes project documentation including charter, plan, schedule, communication plan and meeting agendasEvaluates overall and individual work performance to determine effectiveness in providing quality products within time and cost restraintsWorks closely with business customers, both internal and external to achieve project goalsDevelops analysis guidelines and documentation standardsEvaluates and makes recommendations for needed training for development projectsCompletes and oversees requirements gathering and analysis for court projectsProvides regular onsite supervision and employs in-person assessment methods to gauge business needs through direct observation, monitoring group dynamics with face-to-face interaction, and interpreting body language and nonverbal cues. Establishes interpersonal connections, fosters engagement, and exemplifies expected behaviors.Working conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to communicate clearly, perceive details of objects that are close by, and maintain various physical positions for extended periods, such as sitting, standing, or walking. The job may involve using hands for tasks such as typing, handling objects, or operating tools, as well as reaching with hands and arms.
