RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables, and setting decorations, service plates, and utensils.
Protects the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean, replacing damaged or soiled pages, and cleaning chalkboards.
Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, refilling water glasses, and being attentive to additional needs.
Supports waitstaff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands and busser stations.
Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping and vacuuming floors, and removing trash from the facility.
Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
Enhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Able to effectively read tickets in English
Preferred - high school diploma or GED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Passion for the service industry
Working knowledge of food
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude
Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to lift large-format serving trays
Able to meet physical demands such as lifting at least 50 lbs. as well as standing on your feet for up to 8 hours
WORKING CONDITIONS Fast-paced high volume restaurant
Indoor/Outdoor environment
Exposure to a possibly noisy environment
Exposure to extreme heat or cold depending on season and location
