We are seeking an exceptional and highly seasoned C++ engineer to assume the role of Senior Vice President, leading our Equities Market Data engineering team. This is a senior leadership position responsible for the architectural vision, strategic direction, and flawless execution of our global, ultra-low-latency market data platform. The primary objective of this role is to engineer and safeguard the foundational data layer that powers our entire electronic trading franchise, ensuring our algorithmic and quantitative strategies have a decisive speed and data quality advantage in the market.

Responsibilities:

Architectural Ownership: Take complete ownership of the architecture and evolution of the firm's next-generation market data platform. Design and implement a resilient, scalable, and exceptionally low-latency infrastructure capable of processing immense volumes of data from global equities exchanges.

Performance Engineering Leadership: Drive the continuous optimization of our C++ market data feed handlers and distribution systems. Utilize advanced profiling, modern C++ techniques, and hardware-level tuning to push the boundaries of performance and minimize latency at every stage of the data lifecycle.

Strategic Technical Direction: Define the technical roadmap and standards for market data technology across the Equities division. Lead research and development efforts into emerging technologies, network protocols, and hardware acceleration to maintain our competitive edge.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary technical authority on market data, partnering closely with Quantitative Research, Algorithmic Trading Development, and Infrastructure teams to deliver robust, integrated solutions that meet the demanding needs of the business.

Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead a team of elite C++ engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability. Mentor senior and junior developers, conduct in-depth architectural and code reviews, and guide the team in solving the most complex engineering challenges.

System Stability and Resilience: Guarantee the operational stability, accuracy, and resilience of the market data platform. Design and implement comprehensive monitoring, automated failover, and recovery mechanisms to ensure the system is robust, even under extreme market volatility.

Risk and Control Management: Uphold the highest standards of risk management and regulatory compliance. Ensure all architectural and development decisions safeguard the firm's reputation and assets by adhering to internal policies and external regulations, managing and reporting control issues with complete transparency.

Qualifications:

10+ years of extensive, hands-on experience in C++ development, with a proven track record of designing, building, and managing mission-critical, low-latency systems in a high-frequency trading environment.

Expert-level mastery of modern C++ (C++17/20), including deep expertise in templates, concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.

Profound understanding of low-level systems programming, network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast), and experience with kernel-bypass technologies.

Demonstrable experience in building and optimizing market data feed handlers for major equity exchanges. A comprehensive understanding of exchange-specific protocols is essential.

Deep knowledge of Equities market structure, data normalization, and the nuances of processing high-volume, time-sensitive financial data.

Proven experience in a technical leadership or architectural role, with the ability to guide and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers.

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex, time-critical production issues. xzgxqkn
