Unarmed Security Officer – DTLATreston Security Services is currently hiring a professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Security Officer for a commercial property in Downtown Los Angeles. Our officers are supported by experienced field supervisors, a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center, and an in-house training academy.We are committed to hiring dependable professionals who take pride in protecting our clients, their employees, visitors, and properties.Position DetailsPosition: Unarmed Security Officer Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience Start Date: Immediately Parking: ProvidedSchedule:Saturday: 0600–1430Sunday: 0600–1430Monday: 1400–2230Tuesday: 1400–2230Applicants must be available to work the complete schedule.Required Uniform:Security uniform shirtBlack tactical pantsBlack shoesBlack beltJob ResponsibilitiesVerify and authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points.Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.Pay close attention to parking areas, blind spots, and other high-risk locations.Monitor CCTV cameras and report suspicious behavior or activity.Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and safety concerns.Maintain control of property keys and access cards.Complete accurate daily activity reports and detailed incident reports.Assist with vehicle inspections and parking enforcement when required.Follow established emergency and evacuation procedures.Communicate effectively with property management, supervisors, emergency services, and law enforcement.Provide professional and courteous customer service to employees, visitors, and authorized personnel.Maintain a professional appearance and remain alert throughout the entire shift.Refrain from using personal electronic devices while on duty.QualificationsMust possess a valid California BSIS Guard Card.Previous security experience is preferred.Commercial property, office building, or warehouse security experience is a plus.Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or confrontational situations.Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods.Must be dependable, punctual, and able to report to work in the required uniform.Must follow all company policies, supervisor instructions, and site-specific post orders.What We're Looking ForWe are seeking an officer who:Takes pride in maintaining a professional security presence.Understands the importance of punctuality and attendance.Demonstrates good judgment and attention to detail.Communicates clearly and professionally.Provides excellent customer service.Can work independently while remaining connected with the security team.Follows instructions and completes reports accurately.Is prepared to respond appropriately during emergencies.Veterans and individuals with military, law enforcement, or customer-service experience are encouraged to apply.Apply today to join Treston Security Services – We Strive for Your Success.
