Build on your CAD skills and learn to design custom cabinetry from the ground up, in a shop that‘ll teach you the trade.
What You‘ll Actually Do
Learn to draw custom cabinetry in KCD (or comparable CAD software) alongside our lead draftsman
Take field measurements on job sites, and learn how a measurement becomes a drawing becomes a real install
Help translate client and shop specs into accurate drawings
Take on more of the design work independently as your skills grow
Work alongside the shop crew building and installing cabinetry when drafting work is light
What You Need to Bring
Some experience with KCD or similar CAD/drafting software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, etc.), or a recent degree/certificate in drafting, design, or a related field
Familiarity with cabinet building or general woodworking, and comfort taking accurate field measurements
Sharp attention to detail
Willingness to learn and take feedback
Reliable and on time, every day
No degree required if you‘ve got the software or shop experience
Details
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, overtime available
Pay: $22–$30+/hr, based on experience
Benefits: 401(k), paid holidays
Start date: As soon as possible for the right candidate
