Cable Assembly TechnicianLocation: Framingham Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: $20.00-$22.00/hourOur client is looking for a detail-oriented Cable Assembly Technician to support their Hardware Engineering team with cable assembly, wiring harness fabrication, and hardware troubleshooting. This is a hands-on role involving the building and testing of cable assemblies used in GPS and tablet hardware systems.Responsibilities:Assist the Hardware Engineering team with cable assembly and troubleshootingPerform wire crimping, soldering, stripping, and cuttingBuild custom wiring harnesses and cable assembliesRead and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructionsInspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and adherence to specificationsTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with cable assemblies and wiring harnessesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workspaceProperly manage tools, equipment, and materialsWork with engineering staff to identify process improvements and resolve production issuesDocument assembly processes and maintain accurate production recordsSupport additional hardware-related tasks as neededQualifications:Experience with wire crimping, soldering, stripping, and cutting preferredPrevious experience in cable assembly, wiring harness fabrication, electronics, or a related field preferredAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematicsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWorking Conditions:Primarily hands-on bench work in a hardware/production environmentMay require sitting or standing for extended periodsRequires frequent use of hand tools and small components#3368ST
