Job description
Cable AssemblerThis role focuses on assembling server racks and cable components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work with hand tools, follow blueprints and work instructions, and ensure each chassis, rack, and cable assembly meets quality and safety standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, consistent productivity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team on a progressive assembly line.ResponsibilitiesOpen and unpack chassis and components for server assembly in preparation for the production line.Integrate computer parts into chassis on a progressive line, following detailed instructions and specifications.Use small hand tools to install screws and parts into chassis, and install or replace brackets, labels, and related hardware.Assemble handles, affix switches, and apply labels accurately to meet rack and chassis requirements.Identify and label cables according to rack specifications using a cable labeling machine.Package finished racks securely and prepare them for shipment or further processing.Assist with recycling materials and maintaining a clean, organized work area in compliance with facility standards.Work safely on ladders and around production equipment while following all safety procedures.Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to maintain workflow and meet production goals.Perform any other tasks as assigned to support production, assembly, and facility operations.Essential SkillsProficiency with hand tools used for assembly and installation.Experience in installation and mechanical or electronic assembly work.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or work instructions.Previous production or general manufacturing experience.Strong attention to detail in all assembly and labeling tasks.Ability to regularly lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the shift.Ability to work on ladders safely and comfortably.Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for small-part assembly.Ability to work effectively within a team environment.Strong communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written directions.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.Reliability and strong work ethic, with a focus on results and quality.Willingness to assist with recycling and other support tasks as needed.Openness to working different shifts as production needs evolve.Interest in data center, server, storage, or networking solutions manufacturing.Why Work Here?You will join a leading organization in the data center solutions industry that values collaboration, innovation, and thought leadership. The operation runs Monday through Friday, with baseline shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM for day shift and 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM for swing shift, with the possibility of minor staggered start times. Initial onboarding and training will occur on day shift, even for candidates assigned to swing shift, with training hours to be confirmed. The first 60 days of production will support both shifts. The facility maintains a casual dress environment and encourages collaboration and innovation on the production floor. You will work with hand tools, cable labeling machines, and standard assembly equipment while standing for much of the shift and occasionally using ladders. Parking may involve using a nearby building lot, with a shuttle service provided by a vendor to transport employees to the facility. The workplace emphasizes safety, teamwork, and clear communication to ensure efficient and high-quality production.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, NV.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
