CAD-CAM Technician IIIJoin National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Thayer Dental Lab in Mechanicsburg, PA, for a CAD CAM III - Implants.The regular hours for this position are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and subject to change from time to time. This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.Preliminary: Place models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique.Articulate models by using bites sent by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite relationship.Implant: Prepare for articulation.Set bites.Insert implant copings.Soft tissue.Cement screw retained cases.Seat custom abutments in soft tissue model and make adjustments as necessary.Order implant parts.Prepare casework instruction sheets.3shape: Scan all abutment systems.Model builder.Design Abutments.Design cement retained or screw retained crown/bridge restorations.Keep cases organized so that the flow of work stays on schedule.Clean work area daily.Other Duties of Job:Communicate with Laboratory Manager and Production Manager on a daily basis.Perform other related duties as required.Skills and Abilities Required:Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.Must have basic computer skills.Excellent hand eye coordination.Display attention to detail.Time management skills required for production environment.Display problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.Minimum Education and Experience Required:Five to ten years related experience/training in preliminary, CAD/CAM, crown & bridge, and implant related dental laboratory production.CDT or equivalent preferred.PTC certification in SPA and SAA as a minimum standard.Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:Hand-pieces.SteamersAcceleratorGlueSharp Tools.Bench Lathe.Physical Requirements:Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.Ability to effectively communicate technical information.Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or colorEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
