Description
As a CAD Drafter, you'll play an important role in turning project information and concepts into accurate drawings ready for production. Working closely with Project Managers and the CAD team, you'll create detailed layouts that provide the information needed to bring designs to life.
In this role, you'll help transform project plans and specifications into drawing packets that are reviewed and approved by the customer. You'll develop accurate views, dimensions, and details, then work through revisions and feedback to refine the drawings and meet project requirements. You'll also maintain project files, ensuring drawings stay organized, accurate, and up to date.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in drafting, attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines is important, while more complex issues can be addressed with the CAD Team Lead or Casework Manager.
Requirements
Requirements
Associate's degree, technical training/certification, or equivalent education in drafting, design, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Previous drafting or CAD experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant education, training, or hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical information, including architectural drawings and other project documentation.
Ability to read, interpret, and accurately convert units of measurement.
Ability to work independently, use good judgment to address new challenges, and recognize when additional guidance is needed.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Willingness and ability to learn new CAD software and technology.
