Cafeteria Worker II
Qualifications: A, High School Diploma preferred. B. Knowledge of kitchen procedures and management. C. Possess a current Food Handlers Card. D. Ability to work with staff, students and the public. E. Strong math and communication skill F. Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. G. Willingness to try new ideas. H. Physically able to perform assigned duties. I. Available to work on short notice in any cafeteria position. J. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. K. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Job Goals: To serve the students and staff nutritious and attractive meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: A. Knows and follows nutritional guidelines. B. Participates in the preparation and serving of food. C. Prepares and packs food to be sent to satellite schools. D. Participates in the cleaning of kitchen, serving, storage, and dining areas. E. Knows and follows health and sanitation procedures. F. Performs dishwashing duties as assigned. G. Performs major cleaning assignments at regularly scheduled intervals as directed by the cafeteria manager. H. Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods. I. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
