This position can be located in either of the following locations: Redondo Beach (CA), Azusa (CA), Gilbert (AZ), Chandler (AZ), Colorado Springs (CO), Aurora (CO), Roy (UT), Huntsville (AL), Morrisville (NC), Dulles (VA), Fairfax (VA), and Linthicum (MD). Due to the nature of this work, this position will be 100% on-site.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the follow:Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.Ensures software standards are met.What does success look like?As a successful employee, you will:Be an active and integral member of your teamChannel your enthusiasm to innovateBe part of a supportive team that develops and deploys technologies that matter to our national securityWork with agility, flexibility, and collaboration to explore creative ideasBasic Qualifications for Levels 1-4:Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (Level 1)Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 1 year (Level 2)Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3)Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4)An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeActive U.S. Government security clearance required at the time of applicationExperience with programming/scripting languagesUnderstanding of all aspects of the software development lifecyclePreferred Qualifications:STEM degreeActive Top Secret clearanceExperience in ground software developmentExperience with one or more of the following: C/C++, Python, Node.js, Go, or JavaKnowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systemFamiliarity with Agile principles, processes, and Atlassian toolsPrimary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
