Under Canvas Seasonal Camp Set Up TechnicianThis position plays a critical role in the seasonal set up and take down of tents and furnishings at all Under Canvas locations. This position is a seasonal position and 100% travel based. The position reports directly to the Camp Set Up Supervisor.The Camp Set Up Technician is part of the set up team that will travel to Under Canvas resort locations and perform the physical work of building or dismantling the tents, interior walls, furnishings, and associated assets on a seasonal basis. Locations will vary depending on business need.Key ResponsibilitiesActive team participant in the physical work of setting up and taking down Under Canvas Resort locations; to include set up of tents, outfitting decks, raising interior walls and furnishing tent interiorsAssist with tent maintenance - may include snow removal, and other inclement weather challenges - hours may varyManage personal timecard, clocking in and out of shifts in accordance with company policyParticipate in any crew training curriculum and certification programRespectfully live with coworkers in team member housing and adhere to all company and external rental agencies' rules and policies during residencyThink critically to respond and react quickly to ever changing situationsAble to problem solve to resolve issues safely and efficientlyProfessional in all internal and external communicationsPrioritize tasks effectivelyParticipate in team meetingsSubmit high quality work products in a timely mannerOther duties as assignedPreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years of construction experienceStrong knowledge of construction operations and equipmentGoal-oriented, results-driven, strong interpersonal and communication skillsCommunicate in a clear and professional wayInteract with a friendly, enthusiastic, positive attitudeDemonstrate sound judgement, follow direction, and take decisive appropriate actionLearn, embrace, and train team on company policies, practices, and proceduresStrong organizational skills to execute and prioritize multiple tasksAny industry related certification will be considered an advantageAdditional InformationThis position is fully outdoors - ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, and maneuvering in an outdoor environment on uneven surfaces.This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.This position may require a valid certificate of DOT physical examination and satisfactory completion of a road test performed by a competent person, if requested by Under Canvas.This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of Under Canvas.Compensation and BenefitsUnder Canvas strives to provide a comprehensive benefits and compensation package that addresses the needs of our team members.
