Campus Police Officer (Part-Time) - CantonJoin Team Georgia and impact lives everyday while receiving a robust benefits package designed for every stage of your career!Agency: Chattahoochee Technical CollegeShift: Any (United States of America)Compensation Details: $22 PER HOUR.Position AnnouncementPosition: Campus Police Officer (Part-Time)Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on college needs. Any applicant offered employment in this position is required to complete a pre-employment drug test, successfully.Under general supervision, patrols assigned areas and ensures safety of campus buildings and grounds for the technical college.Major DutiesManages traffic flow and enforces parking regulations.Investigate traffic incidents, vandalism, theft, violence and may arrest perpetrators of crimes.Performs administrative duties.Requires P.O.S.T. certification (in good standing), completion of yearly continuing education mandates, periodic firearm qualification and a valid driver's license.This position will include: Travel between campuses with the possibility of fluctuating hours and evening hours.Pre-Interview RequirementsPre-Employment Questionnaire must be completed and returned in order to be scheduled for an interview.P.O.S.T. certification will be checked to verify that it is current and valid.Post Offer RequirementsCriminal history, drug testing, finger printing, driver's history, psychological assessment and polygraph.Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent and P.O.S.T. certificate is required.Preferred QualificationsCurrent P.O.S.T. Certification in good standing.Successful completion of a Field Training program.Previous working experience in law enforcement in a college or other school environment.Twelve or more months working as a Police Officer.Possession of a valid Georgia Class C driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.Salary $22.00 per hour, 29 hours maximum per week. There are no State of Georgia benefits associated with this position.
