Campus Security OfficerTo promote proper and safe demeanor, provide security, and protection of all students, staff, and property belonging to the Alamogordo Public Schools.Education and Experience Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentPrior experience in security-related occupation preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Ability to work effectively as a team memberAbility to interpret and disseminate information including, but not limited to, student/District disciplinary policies, procedures, and guidelinesAbility to maintain confidentiality of student and staff informationAbility to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with students, staff, administration, and the publicAbility to perform essential job functions and job task requirements as assignedSome computer literacy and operational skillsPosition Available: December 1, 2026How to Apply: OPEN UNTIL FILLED will not close before October 11, 2026. Salary:
Nine months (185 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the District Assistant Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on any Board approved revisions that may or may not be permanent.Conditions of Employment: Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and, upon an offer of employment, complete an Employee's Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District's expense to determine ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty.
