Job description
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC or BE Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Temple, Texas. Advanced TEE certification is required.
nPosition Highlights:
nnnThe Anesthesiologist will practice cardiac and general anesthesiology, to include neuro, OB, thoracic, and regional anesthesia. No pediatric cases.
n
nnJoin a large established team of anesthesiologists, residents, cardiac anesthesiology fellows, and CRNAs in a mixed anesthesia care team/solo staffing model.
n
nnThe work schedule is Monday-Friday with weekend and evening call rotated equally.
n
nnAverage 1 cardiac call per week- home call
n
nnCardiac cases include Heart Transplantation, LVAD, ECMO, TAVR, Mitraclip, CABG (including OPCAB), and valves.
n
nnAdditional earnings opportunities are available for working after hours and weekends.
n
nnOccasional cardiac anesthesia coverage will be provided at our affiliated hospital located 30 minutes away, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Waco.
n
nnBaylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple is a 636- bed acute care Level I trauma center and academic site for Baylor College of Medicine-Temple.
n

nQUALIFICATIONS:
nnnDoctorate Degree in Medicine
n
nnLicensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
n
nnWhere Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
