Job Summary and Qualifications
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, as part of the procedure team, provides technical services and support to diagnostic and interventional cardiology, structural heart, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures for the Cardiac Cath Lab adult patients. The responsibilities include case monitoring and documentation, case set-up, scrubbing the procedures andassistingthe physician, circulating cases, troubleshooting of clinical equipment during procedures, and maintenance of sterile technique. The technologist must be able to perform in a fast paced environment with a teamwork approach. The position may requireon callrotations. May berequiredto work at and covercallfor Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
