Location: Columbus, OH
Pay Rate: $170–$175/hour
Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12 Hour Shifts Per Week | Full-Time Only | Weekends Included
About the Opportunity
A hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular PCU Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a 3-month locum contract, starting 10/12/2026. This role supports the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/stepdown unit, providing care to patients with cardiovascular needs. Typical patient ratio is 1:10, up to 1:12.
The ideal candidate has strong cardiovascular experience and is comfortable managing a high-acuity stepdown patient population in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
Provide daily management of patients in the PCU/stepdown unit
Manage patients with cardiovascular conditions and needs
Monitor and respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
Document patient care and progress accurately per hospital and regulatory standards
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Active Ohio PA or NP license required
Minimum 3+ years of experience required (no first-time locum providers)
Cardiovascular experience required
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
Full-time candidates only
Hospital-based practice setting
