About the Facility This outpatient facility maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support cardiovascular disease management on an on-site basis. The facility is structured to accommodate locum tenens clinicians providing day shift cardiovascular coverage with call responsibilities. One full-time medical assistant is available to support clinical operations; no APP support is present in the clinic or hospital.
About the Facility Location The surrounding area offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor, cultural, and recreational attractions suited to varied interests. White Sands National Park, located nearby, is recognized for its distinctive white gypsum dunes spanning nearly 230 square miles. The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, a 47-acre campus featuring barns, animals, a greenhouse, an amphitheater, and extensive exhibit spaces, provides a notable cultural destination. A nationally recognized Farmers and Crafts Market, the Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo, and a seasonal corn maze operating since 1999 complement the area's outdoor and arts offerings. Culinary experiences and additional recreational activities further contribute to the range of options available during time away from clinical responsibilities.
About the Clinician's Workday This assignment requires a board-certified Cardiologist to provide outpatient cardiovascular coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on an on-site basis. Clinicians are expected to manage a caseload of 18-23 patients per day within the outpatient clinic setting. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment. No APP support is available in the clinic or hospital setting; one full-time medical assistant provides clinical support throughout each coverage period.
