About the Facility This health system maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support general cardiology coverage in an outpatient clinic setting on an on-site basis. The facility is structured to accommodate locum tenens clinicians providing day shift cardiovascular coverage with call responsibilities. Clinical support staff, including PAs/NPs and an RN, are in place to facilitate effective care delivery throughout the assignment period.
About the Facility Location The area surrounding Las Cruces offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. White Sands National Park, located less than an hour to the east, is known for its white gypsum dunes spanning nearly 230 square miles, and local hiking areas such as Dripping Springs Natural Area and Slot Canyon provide additional outdoor recreation options. Cultural destinations include the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, the Museum of Nature and Science, and a nationally recognized Farmers and Crafts Market, while activities such as mountain biking, horseback riding, birdwatching, and off-road exploration are accessible across the surrounding state parks and natural areas.
About the Clinician's Workday This assignment requires a board-certified Cardiologist to provide outpatient clinic coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on an on-site basis. Clinical responsibilities include outpatient clinic visits, reading echocardiograms, and potentially performing transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures. Generalist call coverage is a required component of this assignment. Support staff consisting of 3 PAs/NPs and 1 RN are available to assist with clinical operations throughout the coverage period.
