Role Description
Cardiologist (Non Invasive)
Location: Statesville, NC (40 mins from Winston Salem)
Employed Position
Group has 3 Cardiologists and 3 APPs.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with lunch 12:00–1:00; Friday 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
MDs decide rounding schedule (typically inpatient rounding first thing, then clinic around 9:30 AM)
Call is shared between our group and another local organization (ratio 1:8)
EMR: Cerner
Provide high-quality diagnostic and treatment services
Typical patient volume: 20–25
Main procedures: pacemaker insertions, battery changes, loop recorder insertions, lexi-scans, stress echoes, echoes, ABIs, carotids, heart catheterizations, stents
Ideal candidate is an intuitive healthcare professional with strong diagnostic abilities and patient focus
Responsibilities include meeting, assessing, and diagnosing patients in clinic and delivering care that meets state and national standards
Prescribe medications, health regimens, and lifestyle adjustments to support recovery and health maintenance
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the organization
Network includes 27 practices (12 primary care clinics, 10 specialty groups, 3 ambulatory surgery centers, 2 urgent cares)

Requirements
NC Medical License and DEA, eligible
Board certification in Cardiology (board eligible if new grad)
Current BLS Certification
No board sanctions or actions in last 10 years
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities
Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals to ensure positive patient experiences
Ability to serve without prejudice or judgement regardless of lifestyle, race, economic status, age, or religious affiliation
