Job description
Facility in Lexington, KY seeking EP Cards locums coverage Rates: $450/hr Opportunity Highlights Flexible Schedule: Looking for coverage for a minimum of 1 week of clinic coverage per month, but we are open to reviewing all scheduling requests. Shifts are typically 5x8-hour days (8:00 AM 5:00 PM) and can run longer based on patient volume. No call and no weekends are required.
Optional Procedural Time: Opportunity for 1-day procedure block shifts with lab time to perform complex EP procedures.
Practice Setting: Academic/Training Hospital (Adult Trauma Level I-IV).
EMR System: The facility uses EPIC for all charting.
Supportive Team: You will collaborate with a staff of three physicians and supporting Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Vaccine Requirement: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only).
Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology services.
Manage typical clinical volumes ranging from 16-20 patients per half-day.
Perform or oversee typical EP procedures, including ablations and pacemaker insertions, during dedicated lab time (optional 1-day block).
Documentation and patient management utilizing EPIC.
Requirements Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) is required, along with fellowship training in electrophysiology.
Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience in EP.
Licensure: An Active Kentucky (KY) license is required. The facility will consider licensing qualified candidates.
Certifications: Active DEA (KY) and BLS/ACLS (not explicitly listed but typically required in hospital setting) are necessary.
Start Date & Application Target Start Date: March 2, 2026.
Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated at 120 days.
