Job description
Coverage: Scheduled + On Call
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
Privileges: Hospital + Clinic
Schedule:
8-hour clinic shifts, 3 4 consecutive days
Coverage needed 2 weeks per month
Adjacent weekend EP call 1 2 times/month
Weekend call: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM rounding/inpatient coverage, followed by telephone call 5:00 PM 7:00 AM
Approximately 5 hours of rounding per weekend day
Additional EP lab days may be available
Patient Volume:
Geriatric and age 50+ patients
Approx. 3 4 patients/day
Rounding + admissions
Procedures / Services:
Inpatient pacemaker implantation
DCCV/cardioversion
EP services
Minimum 30 EP cases documented in the previous 24 months
If requesting ablation privileges: 30 ablation cases in the previous year
Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
Minimum 2 years of experience
Active cardiology practice with 100 inpatient cases in the previous 24 months, or qualifying recent training
Epic experience
Licenses Required:
Oregon medical license
Willing to license
BLS
ACLS
Coverage Support:
General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology will also be on call during weekends.
