Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist for a 26-week locum opportunity in New Jersey, beginning October 2026. This is an inpatient-focused assignment managing complex heart failure, LVAD, and transplant patients within a multidisciplinary Cardiology team.

Responsibilities
Provide inpatient Advanced Heart Failure coverage
Manage complex heart failure patients
Manage LVAD patients
Manage heart transplant patients
Manage end-stage heart disease
Provide CCU and telemetry coverage
Participate in the 1:5 call rotation
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Cardiology team
Occasional bedside POCUS
Support Staff
Four attending physicians
Cardiology fellows
APPs
Multidisciplinary Cardiology team
Provider will not work independently
Requirements
Board Certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation
Comfortable managing LVAD and heart transplant patients
Comfortable with high-acuity inpatient Cardiology
Credentialing
Full privileges available
Temporary privileges available
Emergency privileges available
Ideal Candidate
A Board Certified Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist experienced in managing LVAD, transplant, mechanical circulatory support, and end-stage heart failure patients. This opportunity is ideal for a physician comfortable with a high inpatient census and collaborative care alongside attending Cardiologists, fellows, and APPs.
