Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Maryville, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking a full-time schedule, though PRN and call-only availability will also be considered.
Location: Maryville, Illinois
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Assignment Length: 3-month contract with ongoing extension potential through the end of 2026
Schedule Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
1 night of call per week (negotiable)
1 weekend of call per month (negotiable)
Full-time preferred (40 hours/week)
Practice Details Average of 15 patients per weekday
Up to 25 patients per weekend while on call
Primary responsibilities include hospital rounding and general cardiology care
STEMI call coverage and interventional cardiology procedures
Procedures & Responsibilities Hospital rounding
Cardiac catheterizations
Coronary interventions
STEMI management
Temporary pacemaker placement
Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
Echocardiograms (Echo)
EKG interpretation
Additional Information Patient Population: All ages
EMR: Epic
Coverage needed through the end of 2026
