Job description

Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Medicine is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Assistant or Associate Professor in Interventional Cardiology to join our growing academic cardiology team in Springfield, IL .

Position Highlights:

Turnkey Academic Practice Step into an established, high-volume cardiology program with a strong referral base.

Excellent Procedural Volume High demand for various cardiac procedures including TEEs, advanced imaging, cardioversions, cardiac catheterizations, structural procedures, Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO), and CHIP procedures.

Teaching & Mentorship Engage in the education of fellows, residents, and medical students , contributing to the academic mission of SIU School of Medicine.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.

• Commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and clinical research.

• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Illinois.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working in an academic environment, both inpatient and outpatient settings
