Job description
We are seeking a Cardiologist for ongoing locum coverage to provide additional physician support during permanent recruitment. This opportunity offers a balanced inpatient and outpatient practice with shared call responsibilities and strong APP support.
Assignment Details:
ASAP start
Ongoing coverage until permanent physician hired
Inpatient + outpatient + call responsibilities
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Practice Setting:
Clinic + inpatient hospital coverage
Adult and geriatric patient population
Epic EMR
Work Details:
Average 10 clinic patients/day
Average inpatient consults/admissions per day
Shared workload with Medical Director
Collaborative cardiology practice environment
Call Schedule:
1:6 call rotation
Support Structure:
1 additional Cardiologist onsite
4 APPs in practice
APPs function independently but physician oversight required within group structure
Procedures Required:
Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation
Requirements:
Board Certified/Eligible Cardiologist preferred
Comfortable with inpatient and outpatient cardiology care
Experience collaborating with APP teams preferred
Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 120 days
