Job Details:
Provide direct patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings in collaboration with a licensed physician
Work within the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant scope of practice, including prescribing, dispensing, and administering therapeutic and corrective measures
Identify diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate timely information to physician colleagues
Demonstrate a passion for cardiology and adaptability within a rapidly growing cardiovascular institute
Schedule consists of 4-10 hour shifts, one weekend per month, with no night call
Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
National Board Certification or eligibility for certification through AACN or ANCC required
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a clinical area such as cardiology required
Prior experience in cardiology strongly preferred
