Job description
Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing General Cardiology team in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings in a collaborative, physician-led environment.
Position Highlights: Full-time position
Provide comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations and ongoing patient management
Manage inpatient cardiology consults and outpatient follow-up visits
Collaborate closely with cardiologists in developing and implementing treatment plans
Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and ambulatory monitoring
Educate patients on cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment options, and medication management
Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in shared call coverage as part of the cardiology service line
Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current and unrestricted NP or PA certification
Eligible for Maine state licensure
Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Minimum of two years Cardiology or Internal Medicine experience required
