Locum Tenens Geriatric Nurse Practitioner - Portland, Oregon Portland, Oregon locum tenens opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner providing primary and geriatric care to adults age 55 and older through a community-based PACE program. This rewarding role combines outpatient clinic care with occasional community visits to assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and patients' homes. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver thoughtful, coordinated care to a diverse geriatric population. Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner Job Details Location: Portland, Oregon Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic and community-based patient visits Patient Population: Adults age 55 and older Specialty: Geriatric and primary care Start Date: November 1, 2026 Coverage: Ongoing needs Schedule: Monday through Friday; 3-4 days per week may be considered Shift: 8-hour days, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Minimum Availability: Two weeks per month; full-time availability is preferred Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per day Patient Volume: Approximately 4-6 patient encounters per shift Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,820-$4,100 when working a full schedule; actual earnings may vary based on the schedule worked Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience; geriatric care experience is strongly preferred Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, primary care, or a related healthcare setting Active Oregon Nurse Practitioner license Current DEA registration Board-certified or board-eligible Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current CV and professional credentials available for credentialing Ability to provide compassionate patient care in both clinic and community settings Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care and geriatric care in an outpatient clinic setting Evaluate and manage adults with complex medical and age-related conditions Conduct community visits in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and private residences as needed Collaborate with nursing staff and an interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans Document patient encounters, clinical findings, and care plans in the electronic medical record Complete approximately 4-6 patient encounters per shift while maintaining a high standard of compassionate care Apply now to be considered for this locum tenens Nurse Practitioner opportunity serving geriatric patients in Portland, Oregon.
