Urbana, IL Cardiology NP/PA Locums Assignment DetailsLocation: Urbana, IllinoisSpecialty: Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantSetting: InpatientPractice Type: Multispecialty Group & Level I Trauma Hospital AvailabilitySchedule: Monday-FridayHours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM8-hour shifts One weekend of in-house rounding per month No outpatient clinic responsibilities Required Licensure & CertificationsNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - RequiredBLS - RequiredACLS - Required Experience RequirementsInpatient Cardiology experience preferredComfortable managing hospitalized cardiology patientsExperience with basic bedside cardiology procedures preferred Practice Setting509-bed Level I Trauma Center Multispecialty hospital-based cardiology serviceTeam of 10 cardiology physicians Inpatient rounding only Clinical ResponsibilitiesDaily inpatient cardiology roundingEvaluate and manage hospitalized cardiology patientsCoordinate patient care with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staffRemove pericardial drainsRemove temporary transvenous pacemakersAssist with discharge planning and continuity of care Patient VolumeApproximately 12-15 inpatient patients per day Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population Support & TechnologyEMR: EPICDedicated clinic RN support for discharge coordinationInpatient nursing supportCollaborative multidisciplinary cardiology team Position HighlightsWeekday schedule with predictable daytime hoursInpatient-only practiceOne weekend rounding commitment per monthCollaborative team of 10 cardiologistsOpportunity to practice in a large Level I Trauma Center using EPIC Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
