Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
As an Interventional Cardiologist, you will operate within both clinic and hospital-based settings, providing comprehensive care to adult patients. The role involves managing a diverse patient mix with approximately 60% inpatient and 40% outpatient care. You will perform a range of procedures, including cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty, and more, contributing to a dynamic and engaging practice environment. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center, ensuring a stimulating and varied case load.
Schedule and Assignment Details
This position offers a flexible schedule with 4-5 shifts per week, including 2-3 clinic shifts from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 2 cath lab shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physicians are expected to provide 1-2 weeks of coverage per month, depending on availability. The call schedule includes approximately 1 night per weekday and 1 weekend on-call shift, with a call ratio of 1:6. Physicians will benefit from a collaborative call-sharing structure, ensuring manageable workloads and adequate time off.
Support and Work Environment
Join a well-supported team with access to advanced technology and resources, including EPIC EMR for efficient and effective patient management. The role involves working alongside a team of experienced non-invasive cardiologists, APPs, and a comprehensive support staff, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered environment. Physicians will also have the opportunity to support APP training efforts, contributing to the development of the specialty.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology with a completed fellowship.
1-5 years of experience in interventional cardiology practice.
Current MI License or eligibility for IMLC.
Valid DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
