Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $261 - $281/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Provide outpatient cardiology services at a 0.25 FTE capacity
• See 14-16 adult and geriatric patients per day in a clinic setting
• Work 4-5 days per month, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
• Perform cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested
• Provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services provided during the previous 24 months
• Work independently as the sole cardiologist, supported by family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, general surgery, ED, and hospitalist teams
• Maintain current BLS certification (from AHA or American Red Cross)
• Utilize Epic EMR system proficiently for documentation and charting
• Obtain and maintain Alaska licensure and/or IMLC licensure
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements
• Adhere to outpatient clinic privileges and scope of practice
• Complete all required credentialing and compliance documentation
