Cardiologist - Locum Tenens Job in Las Cruces, New Mexico Join a 13-week locum tenens cardiology opportunity in Las Cruces, NM, providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient cardiac care. Cardiology Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,480-$7,670 Specialty: Internal Medicine - Cardiology Position Type: Locum tenens cardiologist Practice Setting: Outpatient cardiology with inpatient cardiology responsibilities Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico Start Date: October 19, 2026; scheduling is noted as ASAP in the request Contract Duration: Approximately 13 weeks, covering October through December Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Patient Volume: Approximately 15 encounters per shift Call: Generalist cardiology call Trauma Level: Level III Shifts per Week: 5 Shift Duration: 8 hours Cardiologist Job Requirements Board certification in Cardiology is required Valid physician licensure and credentials appropriate for medical practice in New Mexico At least 1 year of clinical cardiology experience Current BLS certification Clinical proficiency in both outpatient and inpatient cardiology Experience with non-invasive cardiology, including echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) Experience evaluating and managing STEMI patients Ability to provide diagnostic-only invasive cardiology services as required Nuclear cardiology experience preferred Cardiology Physician Responsibilities Evaluate and manage cardiology patients in outpatient and inpatient healthcare settings Provide generalist cardiology call coverage Interpret echocardiograms and perform or assist with TEE procedures as clinically appropriate Assess and treat patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes, including STEMI Deliver diagnostic cardiology services while coordinating care with the broader clinical team Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and efficiently Provide compassionate, evidence-based cardiac care to approximately 15 patients per shift Apply now to explore this locum tenens cardiologist opportunity in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
