Job description
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Cardiology Summary: Join a dynamic healthcare team providing locum Cardiology support across four facilities in Omaha, Nebraska. The positions are available starting December 2026 with ongoing coverage across Creighton University Medical Center, Lakeside, Mercy Council Bluffs, and Immanuel. Experience a collaborative environment within an academic medical center while making a significant impact on patient care.
Job Responsibilities: Provide onsite coverage for General Cardiology from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Participate in night call coverage from 4:30 p.m. to 8 a.m., not every night, across all four sites.
Perform required procedures including ECHO, TEE, EKG, and Stress Tests.
Collaborate with support staff for inpatient rounds during weekdays.
Contribute to call coverage for consults and follow-ups, primarily evaluated the next day.
Navigate a hub and spoke model for care across multiple hospital facilities.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Cardiology REQUIRED
Active Nebraska or IMLC license REQUIRED
Active Iowa license or IMLC (in process) HIGHLY PREFERRED
Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications HIGHLY PREFERRED
Availability for the coverage period from Dec 1, 2026, to Feb 28, 2027 REQUIRED
Ability to acknowledge and understand shift requirements across all four sites REQUIRED
Clean malpractice and background record HIGHLY PREFERRED
Licenses and Certification Requirements: Active Nebraska medical license
Active Iowa medical license HIGHLY PREFERRED
ACLS certification
BLS certification
DEA registration
