Cardiology Physician Locum Tenens Job in Petoskey, Michigan Cardiology physician locum tenens opportunity in Petoskey, MI: provide inpatient cardiology and 24-hour call coverage in a scenic northern Michigan community with competitive weekly pay and a well-supported care team.
Job Details Specialty: Cardiology Position Type: Locum tenens physician coverage Location: Petoskey, MI 49770 Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM; weekday coverage includes Monday through Friday Shift Duration: 12-hour day coverage with additional 24-hour call responsibilities Hours per Week: Approximately 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,290 - $7,450 Setting: Inpatient cardiology with call coverage EHR: Cerner Coverage Needs: Weekend and extended locum tenens coverage Job Requirements Board Certified in Cardiology Active Michigan medical license required Minimum of 1 year of cardiology experience required Ability to provide inpatient cardiology and call coverage Experience interpreting echocardiography, treadmill stress tests, and chemical stress tests Must be able to interpret common diagnostic cardiac studies confidently Clean background preferred for expedited credentialing DEA confirmation required Availability for the listed coverage dates required Applicants must be able to drive in regionally; no flight-based travel Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient cardiology coverage Manage 24-hour call responsibilities as scheduled Interpret echocardiograms and cardiac stress testing Support timely evaluation and treatment of hospitalized cardiac patients Collaborate with advanced practice providers and the care team to ensure smooth coverage Respond to call-back needs as clinically appropriate Deliver high-quality cardiology care in a fast-paced acute care environment Apply now for this cardiology locum tenens physician opportunity in Petoskey, Michigan, and join a team delivering excellent inpatient cardiac care.
