Your primary objective will be to assess, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, ensuring optimal lung function and oxygenation. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans. This role demands vigilance and quick decision-making to respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient status during the night. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes and supporting the overall healthcare team during critical overnight periods.

Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies, providing life-saving interventions and collaborating with the medical team.

Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safety and functionality throughout the shift.

Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management as appropriate.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

The required skills enable you to perform detailed respiratory assessments and deliver precise therapeutic interventions that improve patient breathing and oxygenation. Your ability to operate and troubleshoot complex respiratory equipment ensures continuous and safe patient care throughout the night. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients and families about respiratory health. Preferred skills such as proficiency with EMR systems streamline documentation and enhance care coordination.
