About the Facility This mid-sized hospital maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support locum tenens cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient settings. The facility operates on-site and provides the resources necessary to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period. Support staff, including full-time and part-time APPs and a SICU PA-C, are available on-site to assist with continuity of care for the cardiothoracic surgery service line.

About the Clinician's Workday The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide inpatient coverage Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an average of 7-10 patients during daily rounding. Call is a required component of this assignment, structured as weeknight call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 24-hour weekend call from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. The clinician must maintain availability to respond to cardiothoracic surgical cases throughout each designated call period. Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required for consideration.
