About the Clinicians Workday
The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide 24-hour call coverage across inpatient, operating room, and emergency room settings, with weekday and weekend coverage determined by the monthly schedule. The clinician must remain available for emergent consultations and operative cases throughout each assigned call period. Clinical responsibilities include adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, emergency cardiac procedures, thoracic procedures, lung resections, and management of thoracic trauma, as well as postoperative patient management and inpatient consultations. Prescriptive authority is required as a condition of this assignment.
