JOB OVERVIEW JOB ID: JB-MO-CAVS- Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Joplin, MO Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Period: Dec 18, 2026 - Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Shift Schedule: Starts at 7a; 6 to 8 hrs per shift 1 to 2 weeks per month Call Schedule: TBD CABG: 130 CABG annually; TAVR volume is similar Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered OPEN SHIFTS Dec 18 7am to Jan 2 or Jan 3 or Jan 8 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR: Epic JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Active MO License or IMLC COVID & Flu vaccination ACLS Experienced DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in a broad spectrum of adult cardiac and vascular procedures, with valuable experience in general thoracic surgery; Will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists, and intensive care specialists to provide exceptional, comprehensive operative care. While the primary focus of this position is advanced cardiovascular surgery, the ability to manage and perform essential thoracic interventions is highly beneficial to meet our community's diverse clinical needs.
