Job description
The Cardiovascular Surgical Technician is responsible for providing assistance to the cardiac surgeon in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment; as well as preparing and providing sterile instruments and maintaining the sterilization of surgical equipment, arranging surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.
Surgical Technician certification Preferred (may be required per state and/or client requirement)
One year experience as a Surgical Technician in a CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) required
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
