Welder PositionTrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is hiring the open position of Career Welder in Cartersville, Georgia!We provide a complete array of railcar maintenance services.We welcome your business leadership and people leadership and drive to excellence.Join our team today and be a part of Delivering Goods for the Good of All.What You'll Do:Lay out, position, align and fits together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches in preparation for weldingTack-welds pieces togetherApply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weld-able materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints schematics and sketches using manual and/or semi-automatic welding equipmentLay out and mark weld points on parts or subassembliesPosition pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand toolsInspect completed work for conformance to specificationsObserve all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required recordsFollow all safety rules and practicesBe involved in safety committees or initiativesMay perform GMAW, FCAW, or SMAW weldingMay weld on stainlessPerform out-of-position welding and repairsWhat You'll Need:1-2 years of experience preferredProficiency in fillet & groove weld, Oxy-Fuel Cutting, and Carbon ArcingAbility to pass weld assessmentAbility to accurately measure within specified tolerancesAbility to work first shift hours 6:00am - 4:30pm and all required overtime to include weekends if required
