Care for Those Who ServedSenior Helpers of Baltimore and Central Maryland is hiring compassionate, dependable Caregivers, CNAs, and GNAs to care for Veterans referred to our agency by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).We’re seeking caregivers living in or near Baldwin, Fork, Hydes, Kingsville, Upper Falls, Perry Hall, White Marsh, and Nottingham who are interested in serving Veterans in surrounding communities.Your work will help Veterans remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Through personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily routines, you’ll build meaningful relationships and provide dependable support to people who have served our country.Whether you’re an experienced caregiver or beginning a career in home care, we offer paid training, practical support, and a team that values your contribution.Opportunities That Fit Your AvailabilityDay, evening, and overnight assignmentsWeekday and weekend schedulesShort and extended shiftsRecurring assignments that support consistent careTell us when you can work and how far you’re comfortable traveling. We’ll consider your availability, qualifications, and preferred travel area when matching you with clients.Specific schedules and hours depend on client needs and available assignments. Client locations and travel expectations will be discussed before you accept an assignment.What You’ll DoFollowing each Veteran’s care plan, you may assist with:Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygieneWalking, transfers, and mobilityMeal preparation and assistance with eatingLight housekeeping and laundryMedication remindersCompanionship and meaningful activitiesTransportation to appointments and errands, when assignedObserving and reporting changes in a client’s conditionCompleting accurate visit documentationYou’ll have support from our office and nursing team as you help clients maintain their dignity, independence, and daily routines.What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for caregivers who bring compassion, patience, professionalism, and dependable attendance.Qualifications:Previous caregiving, home care, CNA, or GNA experience preferredAbility to provide hands-on personal care safely, with appropriate trainingClear communication and a respectful approach to clients and familiesValid driver’s license and reliable transportation to assigned clientsAuthorization to work in the United StatesAbility to meet required background screening requirementsCurrent TB screening or willingness to complete required screeningCPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain itExperience supporting Veterans is welcome.
