Caregiver PositionOverture Home Care is currently seeking flexible caregivers and CNAs to provide services for our new and potential clients in the South Dallas area near Red Oak, Waxahachie, Midlothian, and more! We provide one-on-one care in homes and facilities to seniors in need. We have an amazing team that cares and appreciates you.Responsibilities and DutiesProvides hands-on care, which may include assisting with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, linen changes, transportation, errands, or other reasonable duties as assignedTransfer clients using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and proper body mechanicsSome cases you will assist with medication administration, G-Tube Feedings, Trach Care, wound care, and more. These cases would be under the supervision of an RNReads the client's care plan and assessments and provides consistent quality care based upon the care plan for each clientAdheres to all company policies, including dress code, time off, call-out, etc.Clocks in and out of every shift worked on the appropriate systems associated with the client or clients they are servicingObserves clients to recognize changes in their behavior or health, then notifies the appropriate personnel of Company Name if necessaryWork EnvironmentThe Caregiver will provide services in the homes of their assigned clientsThe Caregiver may also provide services to clients in a hospital, rehabilitation, or assisted living settingThe Caregiver must be willing to work on an hourly basis and work at least 1 shift a weekFrequent travel is required for this position, and you must be willing to drive up to 25 miles to your shifts.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED preferred but not requiredAbility to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formsA love for the senior communityA compassionate and upbeat attitudeStrong commitment to reliability and ethical behaviorAbility to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per dayAbility to lift 20-30 poundsPossesses a valid driver's license or state IDMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMust have reliable transportationCar insurance preferred but not requiredWilling to maintain skills through continued educationMust be able to pass a background check and drug testing per company standards
