Care Professional OpportunityHome Instead is looking for a Care Professional who understands that great dementia care is more than simply being present. We’re looking for someone who can engage, redirect, anticipate needs, and stay close when safety matters most.Pay & BenefitsCompetitive Pay: $16.00–$18.00/hourPaid training, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employer-sponsored health benefits, 401(k) with company match up to 4%, and 24/7 on-call assistance.Shift ScheduleMonday - Friday5:00 pm to 9:00 pm8:00 am to 8:00 pm8 am to 5 pmFill in shifts may become availableOther shifts with clients within a 25 mile radius may also be availableWhat We're Looking ForThis role specifically prioritizes companionship, mental stimulation, and fall prevention over housekeeping.Dementia care experienceCalm redirection rather than arguing or repeatedly correctingSupporting someone experiencing sundowning behaviorsHands-on transfer and mobility assistanceStaying alert to a significant fall risk—the client may stand suddenly without warningToileting assistance and hands-on hygieneDressing and evening grooming supportOral care, including denture routinesMedication reminders as directed by the care planPreserving independence while quietly maintaining safetyRecognizing changes and communicating concerns promptlyBeing comfortable in a home with multiple catsApplicants must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
