Job description
CNA/Direct Care GiverThe CNA/Direct Care Giver provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents of the community. The CNA encourages residents to function at their highest level of independence and to participate in community activities. Conducts activities and provides for a meaningful experience for all residents.Responsibilities include maintaining a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, assisting residents with activities of daily living, reporting incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals, performing housekeeping duties, responding promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts, assisting in planning and conducting activity programs for residents, following confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information, assisting residents to and from the dining room and activities, checking on residents, communicating verbally and in writing to report resident status, assisting new residents with move-in transition, reporting all resident changes and interventions, and completing all other duties as assigned.Requirements include possessing a current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing, effectively communicating verbally and in writing, being organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel, being a contributing member of the nursing team and following instruction of supervisor, being polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times, being able to walk and stand for extended periods of time, being able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs, being able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics, being in designated uniform during working hours, being CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire, and being willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.Why Harmony?401k + Fulltime & Part-time Benefits PackagesEmployee Referral Bonus + Incentives (free meals, movie tickets, dining, automotive deals, retail discounts, finance/legal, consulting, electronics, and more!)Training, Development & Career LadderingGreat work-life balanceFlexible SchedulingTelehealth + Flex Spending + Health Savings Account Options
