At HomeWell Care Services of NWI, we are looking for compassionate Caregivers to be a part of our team and join us in our mission of enhancing seniors’ lives, one day at a time. You work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing a variety of non-medical services that allows you to form relationships with seniors who desire to age in place in their own homes. nRESPONSIBILITIES With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:
nSocial companionship
nSupport with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
nTransportation to appointments, errands and social outings
nStandby assistance with transfers
nOvernight safety assistance
nQUALIFICATIONS
nNo healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
nExperience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
nDaily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
nPass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
nProof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
nMust be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
nValid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
nAbility to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
nA compassionate heart for older adults
nMust possess excellent communication skills
nAre mature, caring, punctual and reliable
