Caregiver / IDD Direct Support Professional (CCL)$19.67/hour | Full-Time | San Diego County | Benefits EligibleWe are urgently hiring experienced caregivers and Direct Support Professionals!Home of Guiding Hands is looking for compassionate and dependable people with experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).Current Open ShiftsElkhorn – PM Shift | 40 HoursSunday: OFFMonday: 1 PM–9 PMTuesday: 1 PM–9 PMWednesday: OFFThursday: 1 PM–9 PMFriday: 1 PM–9 PMSaturday: 1 PM–9 PMElkhorn – PM Shift | 40 HoursSunday: 1 PM–9 PMMonday: 2 PM–10 PMTuesday: 2 PM–10 PMWednesday: 1 PM–9 PMThursday: OFFFriday: OFFSaturday: 2 PM–10 PMBermuda – PM ShiftSunday: 2 PM–10 PMMonday: 2 PM–10 PMTuesday: 2 PM–10 PMWednesday: 2 PM–10 PMThursday: OFFFriday: OFFSaturday: 2 PM–10 PMWhat You'll DoAs a Direct Support Professional, you'll work directly with individuals in one of our residential homes and help them live as independently as possible.Your day may include:Assisting with personal care and daily living needsSupporting individualized goals and routinesHelping with community activities and appointmentsProviding positive behavioral and emotional supportAdministering and documenting medicationsCompleting daily documentationTransporting clients using agency vehiclesWorking closely with a supportive teamExperience RequiredYou must have at least 12 months of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD).You must also have:High school diploma or GEDCurrent CPR/First Aid certificationValid California driver's licenseAt least 24 months of licensed driving experienceAbility to provide hands-on care and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Patience, dependability, and a genuine desire to support othersWhy Home of Guiding Hands?At HGH, you're joining a team that has been serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for decades.
